MEDICINE HAT, AB – Cats and dogs are the first two animals that usually come to mind when people think about pets. Tomorrow, the city gets a new pet store that contains pets that most people wouldn’t generally think of.

Strange Exotics will be run by Rob and Kyra Strange, where exotic pets will be offered to the public. Animals range from snakes to chameleons to turtles. Rob Strange that they hope people consider having pets that they may not have considered before.

Strange Exotics will also be participating at the Western Canada Reptile Expo in Medicine Hat on June 24-25 at the Stampede Auditorium. This is the first time that Medicine Hat will be hosting this event and will see many reptiles of various species.

Strange says that one of the missions of Strange Exotics is to raise the next generation of exotic animal lovers and to teach people that these animals are just as good pets as dogs, cats and rabbits.
