Fundraiser for Friends of DACC @ City Bark in Detroit | Kat Ku | Modern Dog and Cat Photos. Ann Arbor| Detroit | Chicago| NYC

Gino, 15/10/2025

I don’t do Doggy Portrait Fundraisers too often (just because it can be a ton of work on top of everything else I have going on) but when I do, I’m glad to be able to donate my time and energy to support great causes.

We’re teaming up with @citydetbark to raise some monies for the good people of Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control (@friendsofdacc). Come stop by with your pup on August 15th in their best “school outfit” at the store from 3-7pm to get their “class photo” for the year. What title will they win? “Best Dressed”? “Class Clown”? “PromQueen”? For a $35 donation, you will receive a 5 x 7 fine art mounted print that’s ready to be framed and displayed proudly at office or home + a web-friendly file ($75 value) of your pup. 100% of the proceeds will be donated back to the organization. To guarantee your spot, pre-registration is highly recommended. Walk-ins will be allowed, time permitting. Register here now!

Prints will be available for pick up at City Bark, or or shipped directly to you for an additional fee, roughly 2-3 weeks after the date of the event.

Thank you for your support, and we can’t wait to meet your pup! 🙂

First inspections of the spring

16/02/2026

In sunny Cornwall I’ve just done my first inspections for 2021 inside the hives. It’s been warm enough for some people to walk around in just t-shirts and for me to wear a t-shirt and cardigan, so it was time. Good news: both colonies are alive and queen-right. Bad news:…
