First Penticton Christmas market aimed at pets set to go this weekend – Penticton News

Holiday fun for Fido, too

‘Tis the season when humans get to have fun at plenty of Christmas markets, but what about Fido?

The brand new Pet-Friendly Penticton Holiday Market caters exclusively to furry friends, hoping to become an annual event showcasing vendors with gifts for pets and their parents alike, such as treats, supplies, art and much more.

This Saturday and Sunday, the by-donation event will take place at the Orchard House Theater at 157 Orchard Avenue in Penticton from 10 am to 4 pm each day.

Cash can be donated as an entry fee, or both human and pet food, all of which will go to support the local charity Fill the Food Gap Penticton.

There will be roughly 20 vendors in total over the two days, plus a live auction with prize bundles to bid on.

It is organized by Pet-Friendly Penticton, a group that works to promote pet-friendly locations, activities and causes in the city.

Pets are welcome to attend, as long as they are crowd-tolerant. There will be a photo booth set up with Santa for pets as well.

It all kicks off Dec. 10 at 10 am For more information and a list of confirmed vendors, click here.
