This talented dog mom has crocheted over 100 outfits for her beloved pups and her followers are going wild for her designs!
Jani is a content creator in Boston, Massachusetts who crochets outfits for her dogs! The talented crocheter designs stylish outfits for her two pups, Sookie and Ivy, and shares them on social media. She has dressed her pups up as fictional characters like Oscar the Grouch, historical figures like George Washington, and a wide range of fruits, veggies, and junk foods. In a video, Jani shared many of the unique outfits she crocheted for her dogs.
The video begins with Sookie and Ivy sitting at a table and staring into the camera. “All the hats I’ve crocheted for my dogs,” Jane wrote in a caption. Then, she launches into a quick montage of hats.
She begins by showing Sookie and Ivy wearing matching sushi-themed hats that encircle their entire heads. The meticulously crocheted hats feature depictions of seaweed, fish, and rice, all made out of yarn!
Following the same food theme, Jani goes on to show the pups wearing hot dogs, burgers, beets, and donut-themed hats.
As the video progresses, the hats get more and more elaborate. There’s an ice cream cone hat with crocheted cherries on top, a spooky Frankenstein’s monster hat, and a variety of holiday-themed hats, including Easter eggs and Mardi Gras pom poms.
Jani explains that she previously worked in sales, but became a full-time crocheter when her canine designs took off on social media. “When I start a hobby, I drop everything,” she explained. “There are not a lot of patterns out there for anything dog related so I had to figure it out on my own.”
Jani claims Sookie and Ivy love modeling her creative designs and even wearing them in cold weather. “They look so cute in their hats,” Jani says. “Sometimes I put on one when we go for a walk and it’s really cold.”
